Alula Cove, located next to Honokohau Harbor, is a small, secluded cove with plenty of protection from swells. Alula Cove is excellent for beginning and advanced snorkelers. Swimming and beach conditions are so calm and gentle this is also a great place to bring children. Clearence is difficult at low tide, so try and come at high tide. Snorkeling is best around the point and to the left.

Accessibility
Head north of Kona for about 2 miles and turn into the Honokohau Harbor entrance. Drive pass the restrooms and showers. Park where the road becomes sandy. You can see the cove from here, about 150 yards away.
