Honolua Bay is an excellent snorkeling destination. Waters are extremely calm, entry is easy and there is an abundance of fish to see. The beach here is rocky, so enter from an old concrete boat ramp...but be careful, it can be decievingly slippery. All Honolua Bay has great snorkeling, but the best is to the right and out to the point. You can even snorkel all the way to Mokul'ia Bay from Honolua. Waters are almost always calm. Honolua has so much to offer, it will become a favorite on your list.

When snorkeling Honolua Bay, watch for:

• Turtles
• Parrotfish
• Barred Goatfish
• Morays
• Hawaiin flagtails
• Usual reef fish
• Pearl Wrasses
• Eels
• Bluspine unicorn surgeonfish
• All kinds of butterfly fish
• Filefish
• Tangs
• Bluestripe snapper

There are no facilities here except lots of shade and beautiful scenery.

Drive north on Highway 30, passing Ka'anapali and Kapalua. After you pass a fence, and the green rail where Mokule'ia bay is, watch for a small dirst road that leads down to Honolua bay. Park along the road on the ocean side of the road. There is a car gate that is always locked, so just walk around it and head down to the bay.
